The Season 2 Belgian FFG Grand Prix was held at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Francorchamps, Belgium on the 16th July 2015, and was part of Season 2 of the championship.

Pre RaceEdit

Internal disappointment at BRT had reached the tipping point after the previous round in Hungary. Unhappy with the performance of the team, notably the amount of mistakes from drivers Ben Utzer and Pablo Diehl, team boss Tobi Kederer closed down the team with immediate effect. The decision would send ripples through the series, as the sudden loss of a team meant a team on the waiting list would have to enter at short notice. This team would be Razor Racing, with Matt Bailey leading the team while still driving at RD. Razor would quickly secure BMW power through a random draw by the series, the unused engines were amongst the best at season start, but clearly were underpowered after competitors had put 12 races of development into their engines. Utzer would be signed on to lead the new team, but surprisingly Diehl would choose not to, instead Takuma Ishikawa would make his debut for the Australian team.

At the same time, the series revoked the managing license of Tomas Ochlsager, meaning that Tim Engberink was given control of Virgin Racing (Formula FG). Krisztián Lintner was quickly replaced by Donald Brugman who made his debut in the series as well.
